Colombo, Sri Lanka, Sept. 9 -- Ministry of Defence and Urban Development issued the following news release:
Deputy Minister of Defence Major General Aruna Jayasekara (Retd) attended a reception hosted aboard the visiting Indian Navy Ship Udayagiri at the Colombo Port today (09 September), in honour of the visiting Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
The reception was organised by the High Commission of India in Colombo. Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka H.E. Santosh Jha received the distinguished guests upon their arrival.
Minister of Labour and Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning (Dr.) Anil Jayantha, M.P., graced the event as the chief guest.
Parliamentarians, members of the diplomatic corps, tri forces commanders, members of the visiting Indian defence delegation, and senior state officials and tri forces officers were present on the occasion.
