The Deputy Minister of Defence, Major General Aruna Jayasekara (Retd), along with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Employment and Chairman of the DDC, Hon. Arun Hemachandra co-chaired a Public Day Programme at Trincomalee District Secretariat office today (02 June).
The programme provided an opportunity for members of the veteran community and the general public in Trincomalee to present their concerns, grievances and development-related issues directly to the relevant authorities.
During this event the Deputy Minister reviewed a range of matters raised by veterans, local residents and he instructed the relevant authorities to take necessary actions in an efficient and timely manner.
Senior state officials and local body representatives were present at this event.
