In line with the National Integrity Initiative, the Internal Affairs Unit of the Ministry of Defence conducted an awareness programme for Ministry staff today (27 Jul) at the Ministry of Defence premises.
The programme was conducted by Mrs. H.H.N.P. Hewarathna, Senior Assistant Secretary (Parliament Affairs and Policy) and Head of the Internal Affairs Unit, with the objective of enhancing awareness of integrity, accountability and ethical conduct within the public service.
During the session, participants were briefed on the importance of promoting professionalism, transparency and individual responsibility while upholding the principles of good governance. The programme also highlighted the role of public officers in fostering an efficient, accountable and citizen-centric public service.
Senior officials of the Ministry of Defence, senior officers of the Tri-Forces and Ministry staff attended the awareness programme.
