Colombo, Sri Lanka, April 10 -- Sri Lanka Army issued the following news release:

Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force successfully concluded the "Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force Inter Regiment Volleyball Championship - 2025" on 28 March 2025, at the Sri Lanka Army Indoor Stadium, Panagoda.

Major General D.K.S.K Dolage USP nps psc, Commandant of SLAVF, graced the event as the Chief Guest.

The Sri Lanka Light Infantry secured the championship in the men's category, while the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment claimed the Runners-up position.

In the women's category, the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps emerged as champions, with the 3 (V) Regiment of the Sri Lanka Army Women's Corps securing the runner-up position.

In the division category, the Corps of Engineer Services won the championship, pushing the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps to the runner-up position.

The event culminated with the awarding of trophies and certificates to the achievers, followed by a vote of thanks delivered by the Deputy Commandant of SLAVF.

The Commander, Security Forces (West), Commander of the Logistics Command & Chairman of the Army Volleyball Committee, General Officer Commanding 14 Infantry Division, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the event.
